Ah, the annual tradition that never fails to make a grand appearance: the January trend that has stood the test of time! It’s tough enough to keep our wallets in check during any month, but January seems to be extra unforgiving, especially now that everything is more expensive than ever before.
We’re all for consistency, but this trend seems to be standing the test of time for generations. It makes us wonder if there’s something in the water! And let’s be real, we don’t need any more financial gurus telling us to save and plan better. After a year of hard work, how can we resist all the temptations of the festive season and ignore the call of fun and celebrations?
Now we’re back at work, or maybe we never left, and we’re trying to figure out how we got here and what we’re going to eat. The kids still have a couple more weeks until school starts, and we’re down to our last drop of Oros with no sign of polony or ham in sight. And as if that weren’t enough, loadshedding is back in play.
January, why do you have to be such a headache? let’s remember that January is just a month. Yes, it may be a difficult one, but it will come to an end, and things will get better. Let’s support each other and find joy in the small things. Whether it’s a walk in the park or a movie night at home, let’s make the most of what we have and conquer this month together.
With all this January doom and gloom, there are reports that within this year there will be a lot of food, fashion, beauty and music indulgence – not very different from other years but, a point to consider to lift the mood and have something to look forward to.
